March 10, 2010: New features in ClickTime 6.33 include:
- New Day View Beta ImprovementsWe've added time off entry, stopwatch feature enhancements, client column support and other exciting new features. Details available by clicking on the "About the Day View beta" button on the Day View beta page.
- Desktop App 3.0 BetaAdditional improvements have been made to the Desktop App 3.0 beta. This release is currently available by invitation only.
- Maximum Session Length DoubledThe Session Length setting is the amount of idle time between your last interaction with ClickTime, and when you need to re-authenticate. This latest update doubles the maximum amount of time your company may set, (up to 8 hours for Corporate users).
- Desktop App Private BetaThe new Desktop App features a robust platform-based environment for online and offline timesheet tracking. New features include: start & end times, Client selector support, and improved input speed. This release is currently available by invitation only.
- Get the latest on system events, such as scheduled maintenance notices and system states: system.clicktime.com. Bookmark the URL or grab the RSS feed for the latest system status news.
- New Week ViewOur new Week View time entry interface is officially out of beta. We've made major enhancements to the look and feel in addition to other User Experience refinements.
- New Day ViewWe've started making New Day View available to selected customers.
- Extended Multi-Platform AccessibilityWe officially support the Windows 7 operating system and the Google Chrome web browser.
- New Job Estimation OptionsYou can now create job estimates by task. You can define these task estimates in hours or billed amounts (e.g. "we told the client the project will cost them $5,000 for development").
- Web Services 2.2With the latest update, our Web Services 2.2 comes out of beta with full sub-job support. If you're currently using an old version of web services, we encourage you to migrate as soon as possible.
- Week View beta 4We've updated the design and improved the speed of our beta Week View. Week View beta 4 now has additional alert messaging, and improved sub-job support.
- Enhanced UIWe've made several aesthetic enhancements, refreshing the interface design. We've improved the visuals for the navigation bar and the Quick View dashboard estimation chart.
- Job Estimation ImprovementsYou can now easily view and edit your estimates when you break down your job estimates by person. While editing an existing job, person, division or employment type, you can click the "Estimates" link to see estimates corresponding to that person, group or job.
- Client and Job ReportingWe've made it easier to access reports for specific clients and jobs. Now when you go into the job or client detail page, clicking on the "Run Reports" section will provide you with quick access to all of your corresponding job and client reports. Clicking a report link will pre-select the client/job filter value for the chosen report.
- Web Services 2.2 (beta)We've made a new beta version of web services available. This new version includes support for sub-jobs as well as a few other minor changes. You can review what's new and how to upgrade to the beta version by reviewing the web services documentation. Version 2.1 of web services is still available, but we encourage developers to adopt the new version in anticipation of the final 2.2 release later this summer.
- Advanced Job Estimation We've just released our Advanced Job Estimation Module, a useful tool with powerful options to compare up-to-the-second estimated job values with actual job values. Three choices of estimation models are available: "by Job," "by Job by Month," and "by Job by Person."
- Quick View Dashboard Our newly re-designed Quick View interface offers customizable dashboard elements that provide managers with valuable real-time reporting and charting.
- Invoice Report - Time & Expenses The Invoice Report now integrates both time and expense values into one simple report.
- Automated Email Notifications UpdatedWe added a new email template for sending manual and automatic incomplete time notifications. The new template references the specific days or weeks that are incomplete.
- Week View (beta) UpdatedWe made several improvements to the beta version of the Week View time entry. The newest version (Beta 3) is now available to all customers.
- Report Builder EnhancementsThe Report Builder has received various improvements and interface updates.
- New Custom AlertYou can now add a custom alert message to the Timesheet Approval screen. Go to the Advanced section under the Company tab to enable and customize this alert message.
- Automated Email Notifications and RemindersYou can now configure ClickTime to send automatic email notifications to people who haven't completed or submitted their timesheet on time. You can also setup automatic reminders that email people to fill in and submit timesheets in advance of the timesheet due date. Administrators can access the options for these features in the "Advanced" section under the Company tab.
- Week View (beta) - new versionSome companies have been randomly selected to participate in a new Week View beta test. When those select companies use the Week View (beta) version, a newer beta version will appear that includes an updated interface and features such as AutoFill, Quickweek and custom messages and alerts.
- Reports UpdatedSeveral of our newest reports received minor appearance and functionality improvements.
- Longer Custom TermsWe increased the maximum length allowed for custom terminology values.
- Job DuplicationJob management and creation has been improved with the addition of the new Job Duplication feature. It's now easier to create new jobs from existing/template jobs.
- Report Builder enhancementsWe've added the ability to create reports that include your company's Custom Fields.
- Expense LabelingThis new feature allows you to label expense sheets as they are exported from the ClickTime system. Expense Labeling will allow you to effectively track and manage your expense sheets to prevent data duplication.
- New Week View (beta) EnhancementsWe have made speed improvements to our new Week View interface. Also, we've made it easier to submit timesheets by adding a submission feature directly to the new Week View screen.
- ClickTime Mobile Edition ImprovementsTime and expense entry has been improved on ClickTime Mobile Edition for BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Palm users.
- Web Services - version 2.1We have a new version of web services with an updated and enhanced API. If you're currently using an old version of web services we encourage you to migrate as soon as possible. The old version will only be accessible until June 30, 2008.
- Week View (beta) UpdatedWe've made several improvements to the Week View beta time entry screen including the ability to use the Options menu to easily switch between using type-ahead or standard pop-down lists.
- QuickBooks Connector (beta)This new tool represents the next generation in data integration for QuickBooks, communicating with the accounting software directly.
- Excel LinkingExcel Linking allows customers an effective and secure way to sync their Excel documents with up-to-the-minute ClickTime timesheet data.
- Week View (beta): Auto SaveThe new Week View time entry interface automatically saves changes made to timesheet entries.
- OpenIDClickTime has adopted OpenID, allowing registered OpenID users to securely log into ClickTime without having to maintain separate usernames and passwords.
- LabelsYou can now mark time entries as "exported" and other values by utilizing labels at the time of export. Labels can be created through your company preferences.
- New Filter when Exporting TimesheetsWhen exporting data, you can now exclude time entries marked with a particular label. For example, you may exclude all time entries previously marked as "exported to QuickBooks."
- New Filters for ReportsWhen running reports, you can now easily filter for timesheets that either have or have not been approved. This option has been added to numerous reports and is available for customers using Timesheet Approvals.
- Stopwatch: We've made various improvements to the stopwatch feature.
- Week View (beta) Updated: We've implemented improvements and bug-fixes to the new Week View (beta) time entry interface.
- Export Reports - Upcoming Changes: For consistency across our various reports, we will be changing a couple of column headings in a few time and expense data exports.
- Week View (beta) enhancements: We've added the ability to search for client, job, or task when entering your time. The AutoFill function, which pre-fills your job and task list, now retains your on/off settings as you move from week to week.
- Report Builder improvements: We've made it easier to define and modify the time frame of your reports in our Report Builder tool.
- Timesheet Review: When viewing the Timesheet Review page, you will now have the ability to view a list of all comments associated with a particular timesheet.
- Apple iPhone & iPod touch: We've optimized our Mobile Edition for the Apple iPhone display. You can view it by pointing your mobile browser to www.clicktime.com
- Report Builder: We've improved the ability to save, edit, duplicate and delete custom reports designed with the new Report Builder feature. The Report Builder can be accessed from the Reports section under the Company tab.
- ClickTime Mobile Edition Improvements: We've made various improvements to the ClickTime Mobile Edition. We also now officially support Apple's iPhone. Just point your mobile device's web browser to http://www.clicktime.com and sign in.
- New Filters for Viewing Expense Sheets: When viewing your own list of expense sheets, you now have many additional filter options to select from. Your selection is also stored so that, for example, each time you login you can easily view only the expense sheets for which you haven't been reimbursed.
- New Week View (beta): A preview of a new weekly time entry interface is now available. You can access this beta version by clicking on the "Try out the new Week View (beta)" link towards the bottom of the current Week View page.
- Report Builder: Our new Report Builder lets you create your own custom reports using multiple filters, sorting options, subtotals, charts, graphs and other advanced tools. The Report Builder can be accessed from the Reports section under the Company tab.
- ClickTime Desktop Application 2.0: This latest release includes a stopwatch timer, weekly summary, and other advanced features. Thank you to all of the people who helped with beta testing during the past several months. All beta versions will expire and no longer be supported as of June 10, 2007. You may download the new release by logging in and clicking on the Download tab.
- ClickTime Mobile Edition for Windows Mobile Devices: We have updated our mobile interface's support for Windows Mobile devices. The sign-in page now includes standard and secure options. Windows Mobile 5 devices should login through the standard method.
- ClickTime Desktop Application 2.0 Beta 9, including support for Microsoft Windows Vista. Also, people who are required to enter a comment with each time entry can now use the Desktop Application.
- We strongly encourage all people who are using an older beta version to upgrade as soon as possible. Older beta versions will expire on May 31, 2007. You can download the new beta version by logging in and clicking on the Download tab.
- Windows users may be able to update their operating system with Windows Update or may require a hotfix from Microsoft. Look for the 2007 time zone update within Windows Update. This update may appear as part of the Optional Software Updates.
- Mac users with OS 10.3.9 or later are current with the new DST settings. Users with a Mac OS prior to this are encouraged to upgrade to the newer release.
